Richard Deacon is a British sculptor, he works in abstractionism. He uses the range of materials, from metal to fabric, in order to produce dynamics within his sculptures.
In his works we can spot the idea of pure forms, organic forms. Some of his works are not only pure by the use of material but they becomes contrasting. The media and shapes he uses sometimes contrast with each other, and therefore they produce some kind of a dialogue.
I was inspired by the shapes of his sculpture as they are infinite like water, they are endless. This is what I want to bring with the shape of Crane within origami, it is still an organic form.
